Hello!

It's been rainy here in MIchigan (with storms and floods elsewhere) so I am not complaining. It's GREEN everywhere, all my hosta's popping up their little heads in the garden. Happiness IS Spring!

Spring is what made ME retire! One day in April 2010, driving down the road to work, I saw so many beautiful flowering trees lining the streets near the County Building where I worked. I knew I was going to retire that year, family knew, but no date yet. I surprised myself that day - marched into the Director's office and said I was retiring in two weeks, not a month as I had expected for 30+years!

Retirees had told me, for years, "You'll know when you are ready..." I always wondered what the heck that meant,... but that perfect spring day, I knew it was right!

** NEW ** I started a NEWS site online. This is relatively new, and not perfected yet. It is a compilation of ALL THINGS RETIREMENT, from all over the web. If you care to see what's new in Aging and Retirement, you can visit and read the news all in one place. There are videos there too. This will update every Monday too. I am curious whether it's worth my time. Please check it out, and then hit REPLY to this newsletter -- tell me what you think.. Please!

Gordon Kinghorn from the UK is back... this is a long one, but pretty cool and worthy of your time! A Chinese Pickle without the Noodles... sounds like Gordon, doesn't it? It's about his mini-disaster in China, pretty funny! (warning: features nudity) Grin!

IF I decide to go over 1,000, and pay more, at least the next milestone will likely never happen -- 10,000. Grin! I will begin to charge for membership if I do this... unsure which way to go. Decisions, decisions....
