Marie-annette retired at age 74. She retired as the Manager of a Home Decor store, where she worked there for six years.
Why did you retire? Just realized how difficult it was for me to be giving of the best left of my precious years to others. I had Shingles in 2011 at the beginning...
I am renting an apartment and have been for the last three years...it's costly and i live alone and trying to keep afloat with the cost of living.
Did you go through a depression when you first retired? When i think of it i become depressed and anxiety takes over....
Are you happy now? I thought so, but now i have nothing to do all day, no friends around, no family near enough.
Hobbies: I pray daily, morning and evening, do Gi Gong exercises, take an early morning walk in the Park accross from where i live.
If I was to follow you around all day, what would I see you doing? The first thing i do is to tidy my space...have breakfast, watch the TV news, then on to my computer and clear my emails.
What would make your retirement easier? To be financially fit, to have something rewarding to look forward to.
I do my exercises daily, pray, i am grateful for life and everything that i have, my car, my health.
If you had a magic wand, what would you wish for today? My wish would be to meet someone like myself who i can share my thoughts, to sit and have a meal together to visit a show together, even to chat with often...someone to love me for who i am just as i am.....just to enhance me and not take anything away from me....
I hope that i can find myself again maybe in doing a blogg.....i am a woman who wore many hats...
in other words worked in many areas....A make up Artist, a top sales representative in the line of clothing, a care giver and now a Eucharistic Lay Minister in my Parish.....also a Lector in my parish as well.
