Are you taxed on were you lived or were you retire to?

I believe the question was already answered but if I worked in California and am retiring in Colorado. I pay Colorado taxes on my retirement not California, right?

Years ago California would tax you no matter where you lived in Retirement but i thought they passed a law getting rid of that.
