Bored, Life Changes...
by Karen/Oak Ridge, TN
I retired at 52 with pension after 30 years. Wanted to spend it doing volunteer work at church. Did that, but not enough to keep me busy. Was offered part-time job at church and about went crazy.
Decided to move to TN to enjoy nature. Was great for 6 months and then my husband decided he wanted to go back to work. Thought I was going to die from loneliness and boredom, so I ended up getting a job. Actually loved it, but it fell apart 6 months later. Got another one and it fell apart 3 months later.
Filed for divorce and got a kayak. Been enjoying nature with my dog and now he's dying of cancer and it's too hot out. Divorced and trying to figure out what the heck I'm going to do with the rest of my life. Was thinking about buying an RV to travel around and live in.
Can't imagine how I'll handle problems that come up, but at least it might kill the boredom.
