I retired after teaching for 46 years at different schools and colleges. I taught part-time last semester as a strategy to detach from my job, Administrative meetings and extras. I decided not to return although I was called in.
As of January, I’ve been home trying to remodel certain areas. It has stressed me out even more. Today, we will be finished and now I have to rethink my next steps.
I am very conscious of this transition time into a zero or dead zone, but fully accept that retirement is a cycle of life and I want to embrace it.
Having time to rediscover ourselves creatively is an interesting process. I know all retirees can do it.
