I didn't know that I would have to work at being retired.

I was kind of relieved to know that other people have to work on themselves when they retire. I did clear about 4 feet of space in my living room today. I vacuumed an area that has been closed off by stuff for too long.

I used to make easy things to cross off my list of things to do. Feels good to cross off. Today...I didn't have a list. I accomplished so much! Then...I made a list of all the things I did. It worked out great. I crossed everything off.

I taught comp 1 and 2 at a university before I retired. The whole house revolved around grading essays. Nothing else mattered except getting feedback so the students knew what they needed to do.

I miss getting to know those young people. I do not miss getting up at a certain time.
