Social Security after Full Retirement Age by: Wendy, Retirement Enthusiast/Coach
First, you are already "full retirement age", so you can collect full Social Security and full wages too.
Second, As long as you continue to work, even if you are receiving benefits, you will continue to pay Social Security taxes on your earnings.
However, Social Security will check your record every year to see whether the additional earnings you had will increase your monthly benefit. If there is an increase, they will send you a letter telling you the new benefit amount.
If you are not getting the "you got a raise!" letters, you could call SS and ask questions.
