Mornings are challenge due to restless sleep

My walking buddy
I just retired and due to circumstances couldn't really prepare. I'm a planner but no plan and not much prep.
I have some routines. I meditate and have an exercise class 3x a week (evening is when tai chi is available). I walk the dog almost every day.. weather permitting.
But I don't have a social network ... was busy caregiving for elder parents and working.
So no really hobbies. With getting anxious, wow, that's huge upset. And all the things I "have to do" ... especially paperwork are dreaded chores.
My morning's have a routine but they start off with a darker cloud:
- usually I have woken up 2-3x from anxious dreams
- I hope to sleep again or do a meditation to calm
Then I'm up and have tea, usually breakfast of oatmeal with variety of toppings - change it up, and do a sudoku.
I like the idea that someone shared about having something set aside that's uplifting to read each morning.
And I like the idea of having an email buddy - I've heard that having a gratitude buddy is a great idea. You share 3 things you're grateful for each day - usually in the evening that you're grateful for and your buddy does that too and it keeps you motivating and remembering to do it.
So if anyone, could be more than one, wants to be a gratitude buddy, I'd be up for that.
