(Syracuse, NY)
Hello my name is John K. from Syracuse, NY. I would like to tell you how and why I retired from the workforce.
I had been working as a baker for 30 plus years at a local grocery store, and felt I was becoming overburdened with everything. There had been increasing stress from the job because of workload and shift changes.
I was also physically exhausted and felt I never had time to do anything I wanted to do like: travel and visit friends and family.
Before I decided to retire, I wanted to make sure my finances were in order. They were.
I wrote a letter to my employer and informed them that I would be retiring on my next birthday.
The day after I retired, I booked a flight to see my sister in Florida!
