As I entered my 29th year of retirement, and after having recently become a widower, I spent the first two weeks of June with my son Greg and his family in Colorful Colorado.
It gave me a chance to relax, get away from familiar surroundings, take some respite time, and enjoy the cooler weather as we celebrated three Birthdays—Yep! Greg turned 49, Oreana turned 45 and my grandson turned 13—all within the first two weeks of June.
Morning coffee tasted so much better sitting in the Adirondack chair watching the cool mist rising among the trees timed with the music of the early birds gathering breakfast for the nestlings. I felt so close that if I stood my head would be in the clouds and the mist busy fogging my glasses. A feeling that I could never have in my backyard in Plano, Texas.
I send you best wishes for you to enjoy your retirement as much as I have mine. Remember---it’s your time to live, to love life, and to embrace the time that you earned. Turn yourself loose and keep on truckin!’
