Retired: live in a small Iowa town and love it.

My husband and I sold our business and home in Texas and ended up trying to owner finance which did not work out for us. After coming away with only $100,000 (lost over $100,00) from the sale we moved to Iowa closer to our family.

Found a real nice house in a small town (200 people). Paid cash for it ($54,000) with the money from sale of business. Paid off our charge cards and vehicle payments. Now live on SS of $1,700 a month.

No bills other than utilities, gas for vehicles misc. expenses. I am hoping this will work for us. Living close to family makes it worth it.
