Certainly when a spouse leaves earlier. It is not the end of the world or your life. It may open new beginnings in terms of friendship and relationships, new learnings, new vision of the future. As they say we should not hitch our lives on the lives of others. The only real and permanent relationship is one with God and with yourself.
Whatever life is, choose to be happy and you will.

Showing Your Metal by: John A. / Tyler, Tx
There is a scripture in the Bible that says "As Iron sharpens Iron, so one man sharpens another". It seems your better half lived by that principle. Now it is your turn to do the same. Use the humor she taught you to make others smile/laugh. Be an encourager to others and live life by being in service to others.
In doing this, you will find your better half is still with you and soon find a new purpose in life in the metal you show others.

Good for you - my wife and I will be celebrating 55 years together come this May and while neither of us look forward to the other one going first - we too realize that one must go on.
Keeping busy is the key, in my humble opinion, and you seem to be doing just that.
Kudos and thanks for sharing.
